ANDREW
MARTIN![]() Drew was raised in Rego Park, New York, in a classically eccentric Jewish family with a decisively theatrical bent. Bitten irreversibly by the acting bug at the age of nine, his first major theatrical achievement was becoming a founding member of the children's theater company TADA! in the summer of 1984, and went on from there to appear at such legendary NYC theaters as Theater for the New City, the Irish Arts Center, Greenwich House and the Grove Street Playhouse in a variety of productions and roles. If you don't blink or sneeze, you will see Drew in such major motion pictures as "To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything, Julie Newmar," "Last Exit to Brooklyn," "Heaven Help Us" and "Dead Poets Society." Also an accomplished standup comedian and impressionist, Drew has appeared at the Improvisation, Stand-Up New York, the Comic Strip, the Comedy Cellar, and nearly every other major comedy club in the New York City area. Throughout the 1990s, he served as a major force in the cabaret industry worldwide both as publisher and managing editor of CaB Magazine and as a 1994 MAC Award nominee for musical-comedy entertainment. Drew spent the majority of 2005 penning his as yet unpublished novel "Mixed Messages" following his second divorce in five years from the same man, and spent the second half of '06 and the first half of '07 collaborating on the Allan Sherman biopic screenplay "Exit Laughing" with gifted actor-writer Corbin Ross. Drew maintains the distinction of being the only actor in America to work consistently for nearly three decades without acquiring so much as a single union affiliation, and he continues to wait for the ever-important phone call from Los Angeles which is now thirty years late. He is proud to have been a founding member of The Mistake since its inception in 2001, and looks forward to continued work with the group until time immemorial. ANDREW'S
